well i have few tips :
- it's already said in the daily growl, keep the health just above 600,no need to keep it higher, cuz there's no profit from it.(in my opinion you don't have to be at 600 health to level up cz once i was 490 and i leveled up(6),but all of you keep it at 600 don;t listen to me)
- know what food you buy for your monster, and what i mean is not the thing about the favourite food cz after severel tries with different monsters the favorite food doesn't affect at all the health,so if my favorite food is green and ate green i will have 91 health points, and if my favorite food was slop and i ate green i will have the 91 health points ) so what im trying to tell is buy food that will give you more health points for every rox you pay,so for exemple i have 42 rox and i want to buy food for my monster,i have 2 choices green(42 rox 91 health points) and slop ( 3 rox 7 health points) if i do the math green ( 91/42=2.16),slop(7/3=2.33),so the slop will give you more health points for every rox you pay,so i prefer to buy (with my 42 rox) 14 times slop and get 98 health points rather than buy 1 green and get 91 points.so in conclusion buy the food that gives you the more health points in comparison to its price and compare.
- the daily puzzle gives you 8 rox for each right answer and reduce the amount of rox you get by 3 for every wrong answer.
- the maximum amount of rox you get from playing the minigames is 100 everyday. in each round you play, the maximum of rox you can get is 10 rox.it doesn't matter at what difficulty you are playing the game because it will give you the same result so always play on easy.i've noticed something that in order to get 10 rox in each round, you have to get above a certain score(for exemple 2900 on flutterby easy mode)and you have to get the same or near the last score you got in the last round in order the get 10 rox in the new round.so if you got 2900 in the first round you get 10 rox,but in the next round if you get 2500 you will get 7 rox,but if you got a score near the 2900 (2800 or above) you will get 10 rox.i play flutterby 10 times a day on easy mode and i do what i'v told you above and i get 100 rox from the 10 rounds:D.
- in flutterby i drag my mouse as fast as i can so i can move faster in the game, because the faster you go the less you will be caught by bugs, and the more butterflies you will catch ( and trust me on this)
- the monstar status or level will increase in proportion with the number of visits so above 200 visits you will get to status N .
that's all for now when i have new tips i will post them directly here:D. bye for now, lillo

Wow, lilo - that was comprehensive! And very helpful. Thanks! The only other tip I can add to that is to be active. When you post a note on someone's pinboard, others will see it and maybe want to add you as a friend, rate your room and post on your pinboard. So if you make your rounds (or as many as you can) each day, it should increase your number of visitors and friends. Also responding to the articles in The Daily Growl lets others know you are active and they are more likely to visit your room and add you as a friend too. Of course, sensible, positive comments and responses get you the most positive attention. That's my 2 cents...

Wow, lilo. That was awesome! The only thing I have to add is about the minigames comment - they updated the system to give a few more rox per game. The most I've gotten per game is 21, on EnGen, playing on Hard, and I plan to look into that for a little more comprehensive insight into that. My biggest tip is visit several times a day, and feed your monster a few small meals instead of one or two big ones - just like experts tell people to do it will keep your health up for longer, and your monster will be happier overall. <3 eiznek

Lilo is right about working out the amount of health per rox. I've done a spreadsheet! At level 1 Slop is best, level 2 change to Mutant Sprout then stick with that till level 6 when sour milk gives the highest score. Me and my rl friends aren't higher than level 10 so I don't have the figures above that, but I would guess there's another best food at level 11 or 12.

great tips lilo,
All I can add is remember to tickle your monster regularly this makes them happy and they chuckle away gaining happiness points, but don't over do it, because they can get irritated and grouch at you. (and you will lose points).
Also ash, my monster used to eat nothing but mutant sprouts, but then changed to slop. Are you saying sprouts are better value than slop? Remember that slop has a -ve happiness effect.

new tips : - i said before,u don't have to obtain a health higher than 600 to level up,well now it has changed u have to be at 600.
-here is the number of rox u need to level up :
lvl 2 100 lvl 3 200 lvl 4 500 lvl 5 800 lvl 6 1200 lvl 7 1600 lvl 8 2300 lvl 9 3100 lvl 10 4300 lvl 11 5800
- from flutterby on easy the max number of rox is 18 and u get this by reaching 5000. 500 --> 3 rox 1000 --> 6 1500 --> 9 3500 --> 15 4000 --> 16 4500 --> 17 5000&+ --> 18
the food that has the biggest ratio is carton of sour milk,it gives u 28 health points for 9 rox only wich means it gives u 3.11 of health points for each rox u spend.so don't forget do drink ur milk every day:P

-one more thing in the daily puzzle u have the question how many more red triangles than blue circles we have,in the majority of the time the correct answer is 1,but sometimes it's not but it's rare not to have one as the correct answer. -the one that asks u to count the eyes,it's easier to count the eyes in pairs,it's faster.

I'm totally new,but check out my monster, Melodie! www.moshimonsters.com/monsters/x3jenniee. Here are my tips: -Correct, you do have to keep the health 600+ in health and happiness. It will def. help, but keep in mind, although usually, you don't always level right after a puzzle. You may have been able to level, but your monster was to upset. Like mine, my health was 613, and then I bought it some food and it leveled. So take good care of it. -If your monster is a Furi, they don't smile much. Just try this (It was in the Community, also) : Tickle it three times a day and try at least 2 puzzles. -Okay, since that was a Furi tip,I'm going to try a tip for all monsters. After careful studies, *NOTICE: THIS WAS NOT IN COMMUNITY* I have tested that this will make any monster laugh immensely. Take a trophy (the highest leveled one) and put it back in your inventory, then take it out and put it back in its old place. This only works with trophies. Congratz if it works( ;D), if it doesn't,sorry, but try to be more active and care/feed it more. Growl ya' later, Monsters. -Jennifer &&; Melodie ;D

I've noticed with my monsters that the higher I level the higher I need to keep my health. I was level 9 this afternoon after my puzzle, was at 999 happiness and around 827 health. Went to the shops to buy food and once he was fed and bumped up over 900 I leveled. So not sure what's up with that lol
Also another tip is if you're having problems with the backwards clock you should keep an eye out for one in the shops. Place your new clock above your pinboard and you can see it while working on your puzzles. Just a quick simple tip.

I didn't realize until I was about level 7 that I could stop reading the instructions for each of the daily puzzles (there are just a couple that you need to read) and that upped my average score by a couple! Also, when I count the eyes I count groups of 5... if there's an extra one after I've counted three groups then I know it's sixteen, extra two seventeen, etc. Sometimes it's less than 15 and that makes it even quicker. If anyone has any tips or tricks for counting the squares please share! It always ends up eating up my time and half the time I'm still wrong!

hey all. boy do i have some tips! First of all, i'd like to tell you that yes, this is the first forum for moshimonsters, but on the other Mind Candy website (welovepuzzles.com) they have in their forums a Moshi Monster topic we started last year!!! It had many tips for leveling up, what to buy, ect.
Play puzzles every day to get rox. I play En-Gen like crazy now. The most rox you can get from one game is 24. I get that right after reaching level 7. I've played all the way up to level 10, and I still get 24 rox. So play to level 7, and let time run out.
As far as food goes, I've purchased many diffrend things while the store's prices changed. Now I buy Mr.Tea (when i can) for 13 rox, and It gives you 25 health points. (but i didnt' konw untill i read lilo's post that some food's health points like green are now higher!)
If your monsters sad, and you don't have any food to feed them or rox to buy food/items with, tickle them!~ When they are tired of it, go outside, and re-enter your home. you can tickle them again!
Leveling up changes when you pass level 10 (i believe) I'm currently a 13, and to level up, I had to be at 999 happy & 999 health points. The 600 rule only last so far.
Don't forget, the mo-po codes that you can get from moshi monsters. my monster has 3 items exclusive to the codes!
Oh, one last thing, if you are looking in the stores, you will notice you can see items from 3 levels above yours. every time you level up, new grayed out items are viewable!

The math way: Oftenh it is uneven so you can multiply it all. But just cut out the uneven part for now. Then multiply the top by the side then add the rest. Hope it helps !
